Giovanni Baleani, self-taught, later under the teaching direction of Umberto Fiorentino, Fabio Zeppetella, Ramberto Ciammarughi, graduated, with full marks, in 2023 from the Venezze Conservatory in Rovigo under the guidance of Enrico Bracco. In March 2025 he graduated in Jazz guitar at the F. Venezze Conservatory in Rovigo with a score of 110/110 and honours. Winner of the first edition of the Youme scholarship at PercentoMusica in Rome with the patronage of the European Community (international scholarship)
In 2013 he won the Arcevia Jazz Feast international scholarship, thanks to which he will participate in courses at the South African College of Music at the University of Cape Town.
In 2016 he won the first “International guitar awards” M. Colucci in the “Improviser” section. He has been practicing music since the age of 24, dividing his time between teaching and concert activities, carrying out many formations (Chitarreto dei Jazzemani by R.Zechini, Speak no Evil Trio, G. Baleani Trio, 3G Hammond Trio) and operating countless stable collaborations live and in the studio (Emanuele Evangelista, R. Zechini, Marco Postacchini, Glauco Di Sabatino, Fabrizio Ginoble, Roberto Desiderio, Linda Valori, Samuele Garofoli, Gabriele Pesaresi, Simone La Maida Roberto Monti, Mike Rossi, Jacopo Ferrazza, Lorenzo Tucci and Alessia Obino, Massimo Manzi, Emilio Marinelli, Stefano Paolini, Linda Valori, Loretta Grace, Carl Potter, Benjamin Jephta, Marlon Witboy, James McClure and many others.
He carries out an intense teaching activity in various structures in the Marche both as a permanent teacher and for sporadic activities and masterclasses and specific courses (jazz guitar, harmony, improvisation, ensemble music).
In the 2016/2017 school year he was a jazz guitar teacher at the Morlacchi Conservatory of Perugia for the pre-academic course.
Currently engaged at the F. Marini musical institute in Falconara as a jazz guitar teacher and vice-president, and at the Soprani Civic School of Castelfidardo. Teacher of Jazz Guitar, improvisation techniques and ensemble music at the prestigious Fabri Jazz summer seminars.
